Lotte Plaza Opens in Ashburn

The Asian and International market has set up shop in one of the former Bloom stores.

Lotte Plaza Asian & International Market, opened Friday in the Ashburn Town Square shopping center (also known as Farmwell Hunt Plaza).

The store, which took over the spot formerly occupied by Bloom, plans to give away a car and several other prizes during a Feb. 3 drawing. Shoppers may enter the drawing now.

The building has been empty for some time, so overall, the store has been welcomed by Patch readers. Here are some comments that were posted to a previous announcement about the store:

  • Tapan – “Lotte is a great store; hopefully it would be in line with one in Chantilly. Global Food in Ashburn is no match to the freshness of vegetables at Lotte. All for it.”
  • Sarah P. – “Love Lotte! Best place to get Korean staples. Hopefully they'll have a restaurant and bakery as well.”
  • Raj Sivaram – “Love it, competition is a great thing! Also Lotte has better variety!”
  • Elaine – “Already have an international food store in Ashburn Farm, we don't need another one!!”

If you check out the store, let us know what you think. We’ll have the listing posted in a couple of days, at which point readers can rate Lotte. Now we just need to fill the other former Bloom.
