Misguided Angels, Virginia Wine Factory Celebrate Red and Threads

The event was planned to recognize the boutique's one-year anniversary and the wine shop's grand opening.

celebrated its first anniversary in style, combining its milestone with the recent grand opening of the Virginia Wine Factory, a neighboring business in the Brambleton Town Center.

Leigh MacDonald, NBC News 4’s style guru, emceed a fashion show, which took place at the Wine Factory and featured the new looks currently on racks at the boutique. With wine in hand, guests watched young girls and women walk the catwalk (a.k.a., Virginia Wine Factory’s hardwood floor) as the models showed off trendy shoes, clothes, handbags and accessories. Penny Lewis of Make Me Up provided fresh hair and faces for the models. A raffle and music by the 3MT's rounded out the evening.  

Misguided Angels’ co-owners Kim Hutchings and Carol White said their first year in business in Brambleton was a great one. MacDonald said the two businesses demonstrate the region's great offerings.

“I like to focus on the fabulous things here in Northern Virginia,” MacDonald told the Ashburn crowd, which hooted and hollered in support of their local businesses.
