New Restaurants to Open in Ashburn

Owner's of Leesburg's Vintage 50 prepare to open The V along Waxpool.

While more restaurants have shut their doors at the Ashburn Restaurant Park along Waxpool Road, new entrepreneurs are lining up to give their dining ventures a shot.

Hudson’s American Grill, which was open for a very short time, is the latest casualty. It occupied the space where Shenandoah American Grill once operated.

Now, Vintage Restaurant Group plans to open its latest restaurant, The V, in that space. The V is the new name for the restaurant the group is relocating from South Riding, formerly called Vintage 51. The group’s Vintage 50 operates in Leesburg.

Ty Allison, general manager for the group, said there would be on-site brewing. The menus of Vintage 50 and Vintage 51 are being combined for The V, he said.

One of the primary concerns identified by some critics of the location is the lack of a traffic signal to help patrons get in and out of the restaurant park. Allison said he’s not concerned.

“I think our reputation in Loudoun County is enough to drive business in our direction and our quality of food and service will speak for itself,” he said.

It’s not clear when the Curry Club closed, but much of the interior remains intact. The space formerly occupied by Pizza-Go-Round has a sign in the window indicating that a group called Kapao Asian Kitchen plans to open a restaurant there.

The Pollo Factory appears to have become a mainstay at the park, along with Five Guys and Moe’s Southwest Grill.
