After Shoes Cup and Cork Club closed its doors over the Christmas holiday, a vacant spot has opened up in downtown Leesburg.
What would you like to see go there?
Mike Miller, of SWaN Investors, who manages the building said "so far there is no new information about the space at this time."
The shop, located at 17 N King St, was remembered as a quirky spot next to Lightfoot Restaurant.
Though Leesburg Patch commenters disagreed about the service and food at Shoes upon its closing, nearly all of them pined for the ambiance the shop offered. Many of them said they'd like to see that spirit kept alive with a new business.
"When I first started dating my boyfriend we would go there, sit with our coffees, look around and marvel at the history of the place. I later would bring visiting friends there to see the nostalgia of the shoe horns footed at the window seats and the chalkboard walls. Where else in Leesburg could offer this ambience?" One commenter, Allison, wrote.
Another said he loved "the secret garden" in the back.
The coffee shop was a favorite spot next to Lightfoot Restaurant in downtown Leesburg since it opened there in 2009.
