Update: Carnival Cruise Lines pulling out of Baltimore.

Apparently, Carnival Cruise lines has had a change of heart. Which is a good thing for us locals who love to cruise. In July of last year, Carnival announced they would be pulling the Pride out of Baltimore for environmental reasons. The ship didn't meet the new EPA regulations about emissions. Not only has Carnival fixed whatever issue that was, I'm not an engineer so I don't know the particulars, they have also upgraded The Pride with their new 2.0 package. You can see the enhancements here: http://www.cruisecritic.com/news/news.cfm?ID=5704. "From October 19 to November 9, 2014, Pride will be in dry dock to receive a Fun Ship 2.0 makeover. It will get new eating and drinking venues such as Guy's Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina and Tequila Bar, Bonsai Sushi, EA SPORTS Bar, Alchemy Bar, RedFrog Pub and Rum Bar, and the Library Bar. Other additions include the WaterWorks water park, Playlist Productions, Cherry on Top, and Hasbro, the Game Show." We've already booked our next cruise on her for May of 2015. I have a group started with some added amenities if anyone is interested. This will be a great, local cruise option for all ages, especially families. We sailed on the Carnival Breeze last October, with these same upgrades, and it was a wonderful experience. I think Carnival has finally shaken their "Booze Cruise" moniker and have really ramped up the quality of their ships.
