PEAK NT Announces New Director of Performance Coaching

PEAK NeuroTraining Solutions welcome Ms. Lucy Galleher, M.A., Sports and Performance Psychology, as their new Director of Performance Coaching.

Lucy Galleher has been a Coach for the Professional Skaters Association for several years and a Consultant working with Olympic coaches of the U.S. Figure Skating Organization, Grassroots to Champions.  Her past clients include the U.S National Gold Medal Synchronized Figure Skating Team, the National Irish Dance Team, the International Ballet School, as well as several elite athletes at all level of competition.

Lucy is a Sports and Performance Psychologist who has been working with professional and semi-pro athletes and high performing executives in the Northern Virginia area.  Lucy was a pair skater on the United States Figure Skating Team and a two time U.S. National Championship competitor.   She has a Master’s degree in Sports and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver with a specialization in Biofeedback and Neurofeedback training for improving competitive performance.

Lucy takes on the roll as Director of Performance Coaching at PEAK NeuroTraining Solutions, Inc (PEAK NT) providing consulting and training services to individuals and groups seeking elite Athletic and Executive Performance Enhancement.  PEAK NT Executive Director, Don DuRousseau says about their program "Our peak performance program creates an individualized training package that includes neuropsychological assessment, metabolic testing, functional nutrition, neuroimaging, and cognitive-behavioral neurotraining to improve sleep, mood, self-confidence and overall performance".

Lucy's specialization is in personal coaching combined with neurofeedback to individualize training routines and optimize mental and physical function of individuals performing at elite levels.  Lucy is a Member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology, the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, and the United States Figure Skating Association.  Lucy is currently participating in the BCIA Certification Program to obtain her EEG and QEEG biofeedback certifications.

A practiced Figure Skater in youth, Lucy was trained by Olympic coaches, and as a pair skater she represented the United States in Junior Grand Prix Competitions. Her Junior Grand Prix experiences include competitions in Japan, Poland, and California.  A competitive athletic background and passion for sport sparked Lucy's fascination with psychology and the use of neurotraining for optimizing individual performance. She attended the University of Denver and received her Master’s Degree in Applied Sport and Performance Psychology.  Her thesis investigated the “optimal mindset” in figure skating performance and identifying methods for directing positive change. Lucy offers her clients a unique blend of athletic and coaching expertise and understanding when providing them with a customized performance training program that maximizes both their mental and physical levels of functioning.

Lucy’s practice philosophy is “to be completely resilient and succeed at the highest levels, a competitor must be able to quiet their mind, thoroughly image their performance, and maintain a perfect balance of stress, concentration, and confidence.”
