Ashburn Area Hosts Needed for Foreign Students

International exchange nonprofit seeks families to provide opportunities for teens.

Care to host a foreign exchange student? The nonprofit International Student Exchange offers the opportunity to personally shape the images of America that such students will carry back to their home countries. The students’ ages range from 15 to 18, and they bring their own spending money and health insurance. They have a dream of attending an American high school next year.

Good, loving, caring families are sought to host students in the Ashburn area. A Host Families can be “Empty Nesters”, single moms or dads, young married couples 25 years or older, a married couples with small children or teenagers. Visit the ISE website at www.iseusa.com to sign in. Potential participants will asked who sent them, so please put in the Capital Region. Read about our organization. Learn about our programs and our students. There is no obligation. Many students arriving in August continue to seek a host. Unfortunately, school slots are limited in some areas, so interested parties should contact ISE for confirmation of an opening in a local high school quickly, while selecting a student.

For additional information about hosting an ISE exchange student, call the Capital Region Office at 540-286-2529 and speak to Louise. We are a nonprofit organization and do not pay host families. Paying families is illegal by law and under school agreements. Please open your heart and welcome one of these students to your home for the 2011-2012 school year.
