Celebrate Read Across America Day

The List this week contains librarian-picked books for adults and children.

In celebration of Read Across America week, we asked our local librarians which books would top the list for adults and children. Heather Ketron, Head of Youth Services at Ashburn Library said that it was hard to just pick a few, but that her favorite thing about books is sharing them. Here's what our librarians came up with:

Sheila Colville, Head of Reference at Ashburn Library recommends the following adult fiction books:

  • The Help by Kathryn Stockett
  • One Day by David Nicholls
  • Freedom by Jonathan Franzen
  • Room by Emma Donogue
  • The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson

        Picture Books:
