Get Movin’ with the Mystics and Inova Health

Inova Health System is teaming up with the Washington Mystics for in recognition of National Family Health & Fitness Day. The event aims to teach families to take charge of their health through group activities and healthy food choices that can help everyone live better.

Held in the ProJet Aviation Hangar at the Leesburg Executive Airport, the free family-oriented, community event features Radio Disney’s “Shake It Up” Dance Zone, a fun, high-energy dance party. The event also includes a Radio Disney “warm up” zone for kids to practice and showcase their moves for a chance to win prizes. For younger children, dance-a-longs and hula-hoop games are planned with music inspired by Radio Disney Junior and the Fun Bus.

Also on hand at Get Movin’ Family Fun Day will be appearances by Washington Mystics players and mascot, healthy cooking demos and exhibits, indoor and outdoor fitness areas, inflatable games and basketball hoops and face painting.

Get Movin’ Family Fun Day is open to kids of all ages and will be easily accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. The event takes place rain or shine. Shuttle buses will transport participants between designated parking and the event entrance. Parking and shuttle buses are free.
