The Ashburn Post Office Has Moved

The United States Postal Service closed its Beaumeade Circle branch after business hours July 2 and moved the operation over to its facility at 44715 Prentice Drive. On Monday, July 4, residents were searching the parking lot for USPS boxes to drop their mail.

All previous services performed at the Beaumeade Circle facility are available at the Prentice Drive location, including P.O. boxes; for which the ZIP code will remain 20146.

Other locations that provide postal services:

• Automated Postal Center, 46164 Westlake Drive
• Contract Postal Unit, Global Jewelry, 43761 Parkhurst Plaza

Stamps may be purchased at the following locations:

• Well Fargo Bank, 43650 Yukon Drive
• Wegmans, 45131 Columbia Plaza
• Giant, 43670 Greenway Corporate Drive
• Giant, 44110 Ashburn Shopping Plaza
• Walgreens, 42820 Creek View Plaza

New locations for purchasing stamps and dropping off packages are under review, and the public has been invited to weigh in about two potential locations, according to Supervisor Lori Waters’ (R-Broad Run) office:

• Broadlands Village Center
• The Shoppes at Ryan Park

The USPS had planned to construct a large facility where it held land in Belmont Greene near Stone Bridge High School, but such large projects have been put on hold. In the meantime, the post office had to abandon the space on Beaumeade Circle after the owners decided to not renew the lease.

To find the Prentice Drive location from the old Beaumeade branch, go back to Loudoun County Parkway and turn right toward Waxpool Road; at Waxpool, turn left; take the next right at the light onto Broderick Street; at the stop sign, turn right onto Pacific; the facility is located on the left.
