UPDATE: All but 55 customers in Loudoun had their power restored before 1 p.m. The remaining power will be restored after workers re-string a line, expected to be done between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
A power outage that seemed to have occured within the past out is impacting about 9,200 homes and businesses in the Ashburn area, according to Dominion Virginia's website.
Several businesses along Pipeline Plaza were without power, and the light at Ashburn Village Boulevard and Farmwell Drive was out around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
"Our crews are en route," said Dominion spokeswoman Le-Ha Anderson. She said two circuits at an Ashburn substation "locked out." While Dominion attempts to correct that issue, the company is trying to re-route electricity temporarily for those who have lost power.
