Redskins Rides Features Cool Cars and Live Entertainment

Check out the family friendly event and grab a few autographs from the players.

On Saturday, the fourth annual has been planned at . The event began as the Renaldo Winn Car Show and instantly garnered great success as a fundraiser and a fun community event. After Winn was traded, Eastern Motors Community Care Foundation took over the event, which was transformed into the Redskins Rides Car Show in 2008.

The event features classic and exotic cars and provides a great chance to see Redskins players showing off their rides! All types of cars will be on display from classic cars, including a Model T, to exotics such as Lamborghinis and Ferraris. Because sections of Redskins Park remains under construction, the high end and unique cars, including players’ vehicles, will be displayed on the field.

In addition to displaying the vehicles, the car show will have a competition. Categories include Classic, Custom, Import and Special Interest for all exhibitors, as well as Top Redskins Ride for the players.

Fans in attendance can get their Redskins gear autographed by players. While the official list of players that will be on hand has not been announced, linebacker Lorenzo Alexander and a core group of players who have participated in the past with the Eastern Motors Community Care Foundation are expected to be present.

The show was designed as a way for the community to come together at a fun, family friendly event that benefits charity. The proceeds go to the many charities that the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and EMCCF are involved in. The Purple Heart Association and the Herndon Without Hunger are just two examples of organizations that have benefited in the past from Redskins Rides. Each year, EMCCF donates more than $250,000 to various national and local charities.
