Supporters for AG Candidate Herring to Speak in His Favor Today in Leesburg

The Democrat running for attorney general voted in support of the $6 billion transportation bill, while his opponent, Mark Obenshain, voted against it.

Supporters for Sen. Mark Herring (33), the Democratic nominee running for Virginia Attorney General, will speak on behalf of the candidate in Leesburg today to highlight differences between him and his opponent, Sen. Mark Obenshain (R-26).

The two squared off earlier this year during a debate sponsored by the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce.

During today’s event, slated for 10 a.m., Leesburg Mayor Kristen Umstattd, Purcellville Mayor Bob Lazaro and former Virginia Sec. of Transportation Pierce Homer will speak. The meeting is set to take place near the Sycolin Flyover project now underway in the town.
