Debates Set for Six Republicans in 10th Congressional District Race

One debate is in Winchester; the other is in Sterling.

The Republican candidates vying for the GOP nomination for Virginia's 10th District congressional election will meet in two debates before the party canvass on April 26.

The first debate is March 15, at Millbrook High School, 251 First Woods Dr., in Winchester, where doors will open at 3:30 p.m., with the debate set from 4:30-7 p.m. All six candidates have been invited to attend: Delegate Barbara Comstock, Delegate Bob Marshall, Stephen Hollingshead, Marc Savitt, Howie Lind and Rob Wasinger. The second debate is April 9 at River Bend Middle School in Sterling. Details of the second debate are still being finalized. 

The 10th District seat is open after Republican Congressman Frank Wolf recently announced his retirement from Congress.

Republicans will hold a Party Canvass from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, to nominate a Republican candidate for the election. Balloting stations can be found here. 

10th District Democrats will hold a nominating convention on the same date.
