Loudoun Voters OK Park Facility, Road, School and Public Safety Bonds

Every question on issuing bonds won by a significant margin.

Loudoun voters overwhelmingly backed a series of bond sales to help pay for items in four different areas: parks, roads, schools and public safety.

Fifty-eight percent of voters supported the issuance of more than $34 million in general obligation bonds to upgrade irrigation systems for athletic fields, improve the Dulles South Multi-Purpose Center, pay for part of Lovettsville Park and fund other unnamed park items.

Nearly 68 percent of voters backed the issuance of nearly $10.8 million in G.O. bonds for a series of school improvements Mercer Middle, Freedom High, Loudoun County High and some other unspecified facilities.
