Potomac Falls High School Symphony of Design Drumline Competition

POTOMAC FALLS HS TO HOST REGIONAL DRUMLINE COMPETITION

Symphony of Design: Percussion Ensembles Entertain All Ages

A thrilling precision drumline competition will be hosted by Potomac Falls High School on Saturday, February 15th from 11 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Indoor percussion ensembles, or indoor drumlines, consist of the marching percussion and pit sections of a marching band. Indoor percussion combines elements of music performance, marching, and choreography of movement.

The competition, sponsored by the Atlantic Indoor Association (AIA), attracts participants from local counties, as well as from across the mid-Atlantic region. In addition to the indoor percussion ensembles affiliated with area and regional high schools, the independent groups, Sound United and George Mason University Indoor Drumlines, will attend.

Tickets for the competition will be sold at the door for $10 (adults) and $7 (for students with ID, seniors, and children under 12). More information about percussion events and the schedule for this event can be found at the AIA website http://www.atlanticindoor.org/
