Poultry-Palooza! Chicken Sale and Thanksgiving Turkey Pre-Orders with Whiffletree Farm at the Willowsford Farm Stand

Whiffletree Farmers Jesse and Liz Straight began raising pastured broiler chickens and turkeys in 2009 under
the name “Jesse Straight’s Pastured Poultry.” In early 2012, they moved the
entire farm operation to the historic Whiffletree Farm in Jesse’s hometown of
Warrenton, and added free-foraging pork, grass-finished beef and pastured laying hens to their repertoire. 

Willowsford Farm is thrilled to be partnering
with Jesse and Liz to bring these beautiful and delicious birds to dinner
tables of our customers, CSA members, residents and friends. 

Beginning this
Saturday, August 24th, we’ll also be taking pre-orders and deposits for
Whiffletree’s White Broad-Breasted Thanksgiving turkeys. Visit the Farm Stand
between 10:00am and 12:00pm to talk to Jesse about the turkeys and place your
orders. 

Pre-orders will continue at the Farm Stand until 2:00pm on the 24th
and be open during regular market hours the following Saturdays as well, while supplies last.
