Sprout 5K Race

Come Run to support Sprout Therapeutic Riding & Education Center at Clyde’s Willow Creek Farm in The Broadlands, a subdivision of Ashburn.

Join us on Sunday October 27 for the Inaugural Sprout 5k at Clyde’s Willow Creek Farm in the Broadlands! The 5k walk/run and 1k Fun Run will kick off a day of family fun at Clyde’s Annual Fall Festival.

Awards will be given to the first and second place runners overall Male
and Female. And to the top two in each age group. An overall team award
will be given to the fastest team (made up of 5). We will also present
the Sprout Cup, a perpetual trophy awarded to the high school with the
largest participation.

The Sprout 5k is being held to raise awareness for Sprout Therapeutic
& Education Riding Center in Aldie, Virginia. Sprout is a
non-profit organization that provides equine assisted activities and
therapies that positively impact individuals with special needs. It is
important to raise the awareness of the special needs of this program
and to provide dynamic learning, recreation, and socialization and
therapy opportunities in this unique farm environment. Sprout provides
therapeutic riding lessons, community based instruction for public
schools, adaptive recreation and equine-assisted learning and
psychotherapy programs for youth and adults. In 2012 alone, Sprout
provided services to over 390 individuals with the help of nearly 175
dedicated volunteers.
