Nominations Open for DryHome’s Annual Roof Giveaway

Know someone in need of and deserving a roof for their home? Submit their names now.

Each year, Sterling-based DryHome Roofing and Siding awards a family, individual or nonprofit organization in need a free roof and the nomination period for this year’s giveaway is now open.

The company established the Free Roof for the Holidays program as a way to give back to the community that has made the DryHome business successful.

To submit a nomination, go to www.dryhome.com or email DryHome at info@dryhome.com. Anyone submitting a nomination should include their name and phone number as well as nominee’s name, address, phone number and reason for the nomination. DryHome will carefully review and evaluate all applications before selecting the designee.

The nomination period opened today and runs through Nov. 30. The winner will be announced in December.

Last year, DryHome marked the programs tenth anniversary by giving away two roofs – one to Leesburg widow Ann Harris  and the other to Doorways for Women and Families’ Safehouse, the only domestic violence shelter in Arlington. Other past recipients have included Loudoun school bus driver Barbara Green; Hubert Laconia, a grandfather and veteran of Sterling, Va.; Good Shepherd Alliance, a nonprofit serving Loudoun’s homeless; Reston Interfaith, a nonprofit serving the homeless; Falls Church Cub Scout House; Gabriel Homes, a nonprofit serving adults with developmental disabilities; Mrs. Caylor, a Leesburg resident and volunteer; and Bernie Cline, an elderly Alexandria resident.
