Family and friends of Jamie Rowley are pulling together to support her two children. The 31-year-old jogger died Wednesday after she was struck by a car along Waxpool Road. Rowley was the mother of two girls.

A GoFundMe account has been created to support Rowley's family.

Rowley was struck near 6:45 a.m. at the corner of Claiborne Parkway and Waxpool Road, according to Virginia State Police.

The driver involved in the wreck, age 61, stopped immediately and began administering CPR until officers arrived, according to police. Rowley was transported to Inova Loudoun Hospital, where she died.

That's a dangerous intersection. Drivers tend to over-shoot the pedestrian lane when stopping to make any right-turn on a red or they 'just turn' on a green light when peds are in the crosswalk. I have also see runners / walkers and people on bikes "just cross" without looking.
