LCSO Sergeant Takes 1st Place in World CrossFit Games in California

Sgt. Kim Holway took home the top prize at the 2014 World CrossFit Games in California Thursday.

A Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Sergeant came in first place in the World CrossFit Games in California this week.

Sgt. Kim Holway competed in the finals for the masters division (ages 45-49) Thursday, performing deadlifts, handstand walks and legless rope climbs, among other events. Holway has steadily climbed to the top of the pack after being ranked 12th in the world in 2012, 3rd in 2013 and 1st this year.

Holway has participated in CrossFit for five years and regularly trains at CrossFit Reston. The 19-year veteran of the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office has worked in Patrol in the agency's Field Division for most of her career. She currently serves as a Sergeant on the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Tactical Enforcement Unit (TEU).
