Where, When to Recycle Christmas Trees in Loudoun, Leesburg

Now that we're all clearing out the holiday decorations, where to take the trees?

So the decorations and down and the tree needs to go. How do you get rid of it?

Many of the county’s homeowners and community associations pick up Christmas trees for recycling and residents should check their community’s instructions. Leesburg provides a schedule for residents put their trees on the curb, which is shown below. In addition, Loudoun County offers five locations where residents can take their trees for recycling.

Whether dropping trees off at one of the county’s Christmas collection sites or at the curb, residents should remove all ornaments, lights, tinsel, wire and stands, as well as the tree bag. Do not use Christmas Tree disposal bags.
