Ashby Ponds Debuts New Continuing Care Neighborhood, the First of its Kind in Loudoun County

Modern amenities and a person-centered approach combine to meet senior living demands in northern Virginia

(Ashburn, VA) — Ashby Ponds, an Erickson Living retirement community in Ashburn Va., introduced its state-of-the-art Continuing Care neighborhood in a grand opening ceremony on March 20.  The addition of the neighborhood fulfills the community’s commitment to residents and their families in providing all levels of health care at one site—the first of its kind in Loudoun County.  With baby boomers turning 65 at a rate of 8,000 per day, the new neighborhood also meets the demands of a growing senior population.

Over 125 guests attended the grand opening event, which included guided tours, keynote presentations, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.  Delegate Tag Greason, who represents the 32nd district in Virginia’s House of Delegates, served as the keynote speaker and Dave Jones, Chairman of the Ambassadors with the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, presented a congratulatory plaque in celebration of the grand opening.  Other local elected officials including Senator Jennifer Wexton, as well as company and community leaders, current residents, and area health care and service professionals also joined members of the Ashby Ponds community for the event.
