Congressman Frank Wolf Visits With Seniors at Ashby Ponds

Rep. Frank Wolf recently visited with residents at Ashby Ponds. The candidates challenging Wolf are scheduled to visit Ashby Ponds this week; Kevin Chisholm on Monday & Kristin Cabral on Wednesday.

On Friday, October 19, Congressman Frank Wolf (R-VA 10th District) visited with residents at Ashby Ponds retirement community in Ashburn, Va.  Wolf, who hopes to be elected to his 17th term in Congress on November 6, spoke to the local seniors about some of the major issues surrounding the upcoming election.

“We can no longer put off reform,” said Wolf, who indicated that both entitlements and the tax code are in need of reformation, and that the debt and deficit need to be dealt with.  “The debt will be $20 trillion in four years if we continue with the current policies,” said Wolf.

“We need a grand plan to fix sequestration,” said Wolf, who mentioned that he is opposed to cuts in defense spending.  Wolf also opposes President Obama’s health care law, stating that it needs to be repealed and replaced.  “Something major needs to be done in an open and bipartisan way,” said Wolf.
