Join Us at the Ashby Ponds Student Job Fair on Saturday, April 13

(Ashburn, Va.) – Are you a student looking for a job where you’ll cultivate meaningful relationships with peers and older generations in your community?  If so, Ashby Ponds may be the place for you!  Join us at the community on Saturday, April 13 for a special student job fair from 1-3pm.  At the fair, you’ll learn about the community’s employment benefits, take a tour, meet current student employees, enjoy lunch, and be entered to win a $250 Amazon gift card!  You’ll also be able to interview on the spot with current supervisors at the community and may be able to start working as early as this summer.

At Ashby Ponds, there are nearly 100 high school students from Loudoun County and Fairfax County working for the community’s dining services department.  The students work in a variety of capacities including as servers, restaurant assistants, and service coaches, among other positions. 

In addition to gaining valuable work experience and earning a wage, students who work at least 1000 hours during their junior and senior years of high school may be eligible for up to a $4000 scholarship paid directly to the college or trade school of their choice. Ashby Ponds has given over 30 scholarships to student employees since 2010.  Funds for the scholarships are raised throughout the year from a number of events at Ashby Ponds including a duck derby, fashion show, and car wash.
