Learn About Working at Ashby Ponds at the 5th Annual Sterling Teen Job Fair
Representatives from Ashby Ponds will be available at the Sterling Teen Job Fair this Saturday, March 16, to talk about the flexible opportunities and scholarship program available at the community!
(Ashburn, Va.) – At Ashby Ponds retirement community, there are nearly 100 high school students from Loudoun County and Fairfax County working for the community’s dining services department. The students work in a variety of capacities including as servers, restaurant assistants, and service coaches, among other positions. In addition to gaining valuable work experience and earning a wage, students who work at least 1000 hours during their junior and senior years of high school may be eligible for up to a $4000 scholarship paid directly to the college or trade school of their choice.
Representatives from Ashby Ponds will be available to provide additional information at the upcoming Sterling Teen Job Fair!

Ashby Ponds has given over 30 scholarships to student employees since 2010. Funds for the scholarships are raised throughout the year from a number of events at Ashby Ponds including a duck derby, fashion show, and car wash. Eligibility for scholarships from Ashby Ponds also includes having no adverse disciplinary actions on one’s record, having at least a “C” average, and completing all application materials in addition to the required number of hours worked.
