Join Us at the Next Ashby Ponds Student Job Fair - Monday, October 14

(Ashburn, Va.) – Are you a student looking for employment where you’ll cultivate meaningful relationships with peers and older generations in your community?  If so, Ashby Ponds may be the place for you!  Join us at the community on Monday, October 14 from 1:30-3pm for a special student job fair.  At the fair, you’ll learn about the community’s employment benefits, take a tour, meet current student employees, and enjoy snacks! 

At Ashby Ponds, there are over 100 high school students from Loudoun County and Fairfax County working for the community’s dining services department.  The students work in a variety of capacities including as servers, restaurant assistants, and service coaches, among other positions. 

In addition to gaining valuable work experience and earning a wage, students who work at least 1000 hours during their junior and senior years of high school may be eligible for up to a $4000 scholarship paid directly to the college or trade school of their choice. Ashby Ponds has given forty scholarships to student employees since 2010.  Funds for the scholarships are raised throughout the year from a number of events at Ashby Ponds including a duck derby, fashion show, and car wash.
