Ashburn’s Students Recognized

Many of Ashburn’s students have been honored for their hard work during the past year or semester in college (with a couple of high school honors included as well). Comcast Scholarship

Betsy Flores, a Broad Run High School graduate, was among 53 students across Virginia to receive scholarships from the Comcast Foundation. Flores received a $1,000 scholarship.

Sportsmanship Award

Collin McCabe—the son of Kimberly McCabe of Ashburn and Thomas and Katje McCabe of Leesburg—has received one of the top awards for the 2011-12 school year at Randolph-Macon Academy. McCabe, a senior, received the Football Sportsmanship Award. The award was given during Class Night, the final awards night of the school year during which the most prestigious awards are given. Class Night was held May 31, 2012.
