Bake Sale at Ashburn Lacrosse Game to Benefit Ryan Diviney

If you haven't made plans tonight, head out to see the Broad Run and Briar Woods varsity or junior varsity lacrosse games and help a member of our community.

The and lacrosse organizations have planned a BAKE SALE FUNDRAISER for Round 2 of the to benefit Ryan Diviney. The JV teams will face off at Broad Run while the varsity teams play at Briar Woods. Both games start at 7:30 p.m.

It promises to be a night full of great lacrosse, with many Ashburn LAX Alums on the field, as well as good things to eat for a special cause.

The fundraiser’s honoree, Ashburn resident Ryan Diviney, was brutally beaten in 2009 while attending college in West Virginia and has been in a coma-like state since. Ryan now requires constant care from his family, which they provide with love, but which also has created a significant ongoing financial burden. The International Brain Research Foundation is advocating a new therapy bike that will help Ryan build muscle and bone density, gives a cardio-vascular workout, and provides electrical stimulation that trains the brain to work with the muscles.

The funds raised will help Ryan with his physical therapy. Please head out to either game (JV at Broad Run, varsity at Briar Woods), watch some great lacrosse and support Ryan and his family.
