RGIII Ties the Knot in Denver

The young NFL quarterback starts building a family and career in Loudoun.

Robert Griffin III has gone through some of life’s major changes during the past year. He set himself on a successful professional football career, he bought a house, he took a chance at the end of the 2012 season by playing on a hurt knee, and this past weekend he got married.

That’s right, ladies, he’s off the market. The charismatic who seems to have turned Washington Redskins fans’ determined, often-misplaced optimism into something real has turned a major page in his life, marrying longtime girlfriend Rebecca Liddicoat, according to a story in the Washington Post and confirmed by comments on Twitter.

As RGIII’s official Twitter handle put it, “The easiest way to say it......BIG DAY!”

Cousin Rodney Griffin Jr. chimed in from his account, wishing Griffin and his new bridge “a lot of future anniversaries.”

According to the Post article, Griffin married Liddicoat at the Denver Four Seasons. Earlier this year, he settled on a new home in the luxury golf community Creighton Farms south of Leesburg. RGIII has been an active member of the Loudoun community. He's been spotted at a Broad Run High School football game helping raise money for cancer and dining at Clyde's at Willow Creek Farm, both in Ashburn.
