Waxpool Road Needs Signals

Stop signs on Waxpool are not efficient.

Ashburn is growing fast and so is the traffic. Waxpool Road is among the worst affected roads during rush hour. A few stop signs make the situation more complicated. Drivers wanting to reach Route 28 stay behind wheel for a long time. Some residents feel that these locations need a traffic light installed. “It’s a small spot but having a signal is a good idea. It’ll be safe for us. We see so many accidents here. People here are not courteous; they don’t stop. I take a longer road (Faulkner Parkway) and avoid passing through this stop sign,” said Waxpool resident Keisha.

“It desperately needs signal," said another area resident. "Many a times, it causes confusion leading, to drivers disobey traffic rules and jumping the stop sign. This has often resulted in honking. Small accidents have been noticed too.”
