Armando Ribay Cenon, 72 years old, died on Friday, March 21, 2014, at his home in Ashburn, Virginia.

For his visitation, his body will lie in state at the Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, Virginia on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. 

Service will be held this Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Ashburn, Virginia. Burial will take place at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon, Virginia.

Armando was born February 08, 1948 in Manila, Philippines, to Panfilo Cenon Sr. and Emilia Ribay Cenon. He was a Marine Engineering undergrad at Feati University Manila in 1966. He married Lucita Pinol Saavedra on September 9, 1967 in Manila.

He came to the U.S.A. as an immigrant together with his family in 1987 and settled in Northern Virginia where his sisters and cousins lived. 

Armando joined United Airlines as a ramp service agent at Dulles International Airport in 1990 and remained an active employee up until his passing.

He loved flat screen TVs, surround sound systems, parties, and more than anything, his wife and family. 

His home, lovingly referred to as “The Ashburn House” by his kids and grandkids, had always been at the center of many memorable family gatherings.

Armando is survived by his wife, Lucita, children Arlene, Leslie, and Alfred, grandkids, Kristine, Sarah, Brian James, and Colby of Ashburn, Virginia, sisters, Esther and Corky of San Francisco, California, as well as brothers Jun and Sonny of Manila, Philippines.
