David Kotch, 48

David J. Kotch, 48, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 1, 2014 in Sterling, VA. 

David was a resident of Loudoun County for 46 years before moving to San Antonio, Texas in 2012 and he was a 1983 graduate of Parkview High School. Following graduation, he went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corp for 13 years, both Active and Reserves. After his military service, David continued to support the U.S. military in his professional life and most recently worked at USAA in San Antonio, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Kotch; children, Ivan David and Jenna Grace; parents Joe and Peggy Kotch; siblings, Michael, and his wife, Cathy, Lisa Anne, John and his wife, Kim; and many nieces and nephews who adored their “Uncle Dave". David leaves behind extended family and both new and lifelong friends to cherish his memory. David was preceded in death by his sister, Debora Kotch.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, March 7, 2014 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel.

A memorial mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Wilde Lake Interfaith Center, 10431 Twin Rivers Road Columbia, MD 21044. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300 Jacksonville, Florida 32256 or to Pathways, 102 Decker Court, Suite 200 Irving, Texas 75062.
