Philip Adams, 68

Philip Norman Adams, age 68, of Round Hill, VA died suddenly on April 18, 2014 . He was born on Aug. 16, 1945 in Washington, DC to Samuel T. and Shirley E. Adams. He was raised in the District and was a proud graduate of The Priory School and Georgetown University, and obtained his post-graduate degree from the University of Maryland School of Education, specializing in Family Therapy and Psychology. He owned and operated Child's Play Inc and Parent University along with several child care centers in northern Virginia and Maryland. He resided for many years in Herndon and recently in Round Hill, Virginia.

 He is survived by his two sons, Alexander and Christopher, and by his twin brother, Nelson.

 Philip was a life-long lover of dogs, starting in childhood with his beloved Boxer Susie, and extending even to the dogs of his friends. He was much loved and respected by many, and his loss is keenly felt by those whom he loved and who loved him.

Family and friends are invited to the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176 on Sunday, April 27, 2014 between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm where a service will immediately follow starting at 2:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Wakefield School, 4439 Old Tavern Rd, The Plains, VA 20198.
