75-Year-Old Charged with Reckless Driving in Dry Mill Road Crash

A Purcellville man was charged with reckless driving after allegedly crashing his car into a bicyclist who sustained non-life threatening injuries.

A driver crashed into a bicyclist Friday, July 11 at the corner of Dry Mill Road and Washington & Old Dominion bike trail at 1 p.m.

According to a sheriff's report, the driver crossed over center road at a curve in the road by the bike trail and struck a bicyclist with a Buick sedan.

The bicyclist was not on the trail but was traveling on Dry Mill heading east while vehicle was heading west. 

The bicyclist sustained lacerations to arm and non-life threatening injuries. The alleged driver, Louise F. Howard, 75, of Purcellville, VA was charged with reckless driving.
