Abandoned Home Caught Fire in Arcola Tuesday

The cause remains under investigation; units from multiple fire stations assisted

Units from six Loudoun County Fire-Rescue stations reported to the 42000 block of Arcola Road shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a series of calls reporting a house on fire.

The first firefighters on the scene reported finding an abandoned structure ablaze. Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire and several units remained on scene performing extensive overhaul operations. The structure continued to smolder Wednesday afternoon.

The home sits on a 41-acre parcel wedged between Arcola Road and Loudoun County Parkway.

There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Loudoun County Fire Marshal’s Office.
