Alexandria Man, Sterling Teen Charged in NYE Hotel Robbery

Suspect also charged with assault for incident at Sterling fast food drive-thru restaurant.

 

Investigators with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office have charged an Alexandria man and a Sterling teenager in connection with the Dec. 31 armed robbery of the Fairfield Inn and Suites on Indian Creek Drive in Dulles.

On Jan. 10, deputies charged Cesar A. Pisconte Jr., 21, was charged with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and participating in a criminal act to benefit a gang. A 15-year-old who was not identified was apprehended Jan. 13 and charged as a juvenile with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and participating in a criminal act to benefit a gang.

In addition, Pisconte has been charged with assault related to a Jan. 7 incident at the McDonald’s on Pidgeon Hill Drive in Sterling. In that case, authorities allege Pisconte threw a glass bottle at an employee in the drive-thru of the fast food restaurant around 4:30 a.m. The employee declined treatment for minor injuries, according to a information provided by the LCSO. Besides assault, Pisconte has been charged with participating in a criminal act to benefit a gang and throwing a missile at an occupied dwelling related to the incident.

During the New Year’s Eve robbery, two suspects entered the lobby of the Fairfield Inn around 2 a.m., one of which displayed a gun and demanded cash from a hotel employee.

Pisconte remains in custody without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, while the teenager remains held at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.

The investigation involved the execution of multiple search warrants in Loudoun and Fairfax Counties, as well as the coordination of members of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit, the Loudoun Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (S.E.R.T.- Loudoun Sheriff’s Special Operations Division), and personnel from the Northern Virginia Gang Task Force.
