Alleged Landscaping Scam Hits Loudoun

LCSO detectives seek potential victims in fraud case that includes Ashburn.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has requested possible victims of an alleged landscaper fraud case where the company was compensated for services but never completed the promised work.

The suspect reportedly offers victims yard work from Dave’s Lawn Service and requires advance payment for the services. In most of the cases the suspect did not finish the work, or failed to even start. Recent cases have been reported in the Wild Meadow Court area of Ashburn, Raspberry Falls and River Creek.

The suspect drives a 1999 Dodge pickup truck and a 2004 Chevrolet truck, both with Maryland tags. See photos.

Anyone who thinks he or she is a victim in this case should contact Detective J. Halley of the LCSO’s Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475.
