Armed Robbery at Woman's Front Door
Victim was walking up to her home when approached by an unknown man, according to Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
A 43-year-old Sterling woman reported an armed robbery on her doorstep Sunday night, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
The victim told deputies that she had parked her car around 8:45 p.m. and was walking up to her door in the 21000 block of Stanford Square, in the Remington at Dulles Town Center community, when she was approached by an unknown man carrying a handgun.
The suspect stole her wallet and fled the scene. He's described as a dark-skinned, approximately 6 feet tall, between 185 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, with dark colored pants.
"A perimeter was established and an aerial search was conducted with the assistance of the US Park Police helicopter," according to deputies. "No subject matching this description was located."
