Arrests Made in CountrySide Shooting

Two men are in custody on charges related to the Dec. 16 incident on Gannon Way.

Two men from Sterling are in custody related to a Dec. 16 shooting on Gannon Way in CountrySide, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. 

A 19-year-old Sterling man has been charged in connection with the December 16th shooting at a home in the CountrySide community.

Authorities apprehended Victor D. Lassiter, 19, of Sterling, Dec. 17 without incident and charged him with robbery, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony and malicious wounding. Officers also conducted a search of his home on Gable Square.

Authorities located a second suspect, Marquis R. Vasciannie, 20, of Sterling, was arrested the same day in Prince Georges County, MD, without incident. He is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

The arrests stem from a shooting that occurred around 4:40 p.m. Dec. 16 on the 20 block of Gannon Way. Deputies found a 22-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the scene.

Investigators believe the victim knew the suspects and that he was targeted.
