Ashburn, Eastern Loudoun Crime Update

The weekly roundup of illegal activity reported by the Sheriff's Office.

Eastern Loudoun Station

  • Robbery: An unknown suspect asked a victim for a ride on North Garfield Street at 3:50 p.m. May 5. While driving, the suspect brandished scissors and removed the GPS from the vehicle and ran.
  • Larceny: Various tools and a GPS were reported taken from a vehicle on the 800 block of Colonial Avenue between 10:30 p.m. May 5 and 5:30 a.m. May 6. The vehicle’s door was damaged to gain entry.
  • Larceny: A wallet was reported taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 20600 block of Countryside Boulevard between 7:15 a.m. and 7:55 a.m. May 6.
  • Destruction of Property: Vehicles were damaged with paint in the area of Chelmsford and Finchingfield courts between 12:01 a.m. and 5 a.m. May 8.
  • Auto Theft: A vehicle was reported stolen from the 600 block of South Concord Court between 10 p.m. May 5 and 6 a.m. May 6.
  • Destruction of Property: A fence was damaged with paint on the 100 block of Kale Avenue between 1 p.m. May 6 and 11 a.m. May 7.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle’s paint was reported scratched on the 600 block of Glenbrook Terrace between 12:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. May 7.
  • Tampering with Vehicle: An unknown subject entered a vehicle on the 45900 block of Regal Plaza between 10 p.m. May 8 and 12:25 a.m. May 9.
  • Destruction of Property: Vehicles were damaged with paint on the 200 block of Chelmsford Court between 10:50 p.m. May 7 and 1:43 a.m. May 8.
  • Destruction of Property: Multiple vehicles were damaged with paint on the 20800 block of Waterbeach Place at 3:48 a.m. May 8.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle was damaged with paint on the 47700 block of League Court at 4:36 a.m. May 8.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle was damaged with paint on the 47700 block of Alleghany Circle between 11 p.m. May 7 and 8:05 a.m. May 8.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle was damaged with paint on the 47800 block of Saulty Drive between 7:30 p.m. May 7 and 12:01 a.m. May 8.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle was damaged with paint on the 47800 block of Saulty Drive between 7:30 p.m. May 7 and 12:01 a.m. May 8.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle was damaged with paint on the 21400 block of Rusty Blackhaw Square between 11 p.m. May 7 and 9:30 a.m. May 8.
  • Destruction of Property: Vehicle were damaged with paint in the area of Chelmsford and Finchingfield Court between noon May 7 and 10:45 a.m. May 8.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle was damaged with paint on the 47800 block of Alleghany Circle between 11:30 p.m. May 7 and 11 a.m. May 8.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle’s window was reported damaged on the 47800 block of Alleghany Circle between 11:30 p.m. May 7 and 11 a.m. May 8.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle’s mirror was reported damaged on the 20700 block of Quiet Brook Place at 12:30 p.m. May 8.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle was damaged with paint on the 47700 block of Saulty Drive between 11:30 p.m. May 7 and 7 a.m. May 8.
  • Destruction of Property: Items were reported damaged in a hotel room on the 22700 block of Holiday Park Drive at 8:27 p.m. May 7.
  • Auto Theft: A resident reported their vehicle was used and damaged while they were out of town on the 45700 block of Wellesley Terrace between 6 a.m. May 5 and 2:45 a.m. May 10.
  • Destruction of Property: The side of a vehicle was reported spray-painted on the 100 block of Williamsburg Road between midnight and 3 p.m. May 10.
  • Recovered Stolen Trailer: A trailer reported stolen on January 25, 2011, from the area of Cascades Parkway and Stonetree Court was recovered at 3:04 p.m. May 10.
  • Soliciting Without a License: Loudoun Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 800 block of North Argonne Avenue at 6:34 p.m. May 10 for a report of solicitors who were being rude to homeowners that declined their services. The solicitors were located and were found to be in violation of the county ordinance of soliciting without a license. A 21-year-old male from North Carolina and a 47-year-old from South Carolina were cited with a summons. The 21-year-old was unable to show proof of identification. He was taken before a Loudoun County Magistrate and held without bond.   • Soliciting Without a License: Loudoun Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 1300 block of North Argonne Avenue at 6:51 p.m. May 10 for a report of a solicitor who was using foul language after a homeowner declined his services. The 25-year-old male from Texas was found in violation of the county ordinances of soliciting without a license and standards of conduct for solicitors. He was held without bond.

Central Loudoun Station

  • Assault: A victim was standing outside of a business when she was hit by an apparent bb on the 19300 block of Promenade Drive at 3 p.m. May 6.  Another complainant at the scene advised she was also hit with an apparent bb on 5/5/11.  During the investigation a juvenile living nearby admitted to shooting the complainants.
  • Larceny: A bicycle was reported taken from the deck of a residence on the 44400 block of Whitford Square between 11 p.m. May 6 and 9 a.m. May 7.
  • Auto Theft: A vehicle was reported taken from the 43300 block of Malin Court between 11:30 p.m. and 11:36 p.m. May 6.

University Station

  • Larceny: Two power tools were reported taken from a construction site on the 43400 block of Old Ryan Road between 3:30 p.m. April 29 and noon May 2.
  • Larceny: A power drill was reported taken from a construction site on the 43400 block of Old Ryan Road between 3:30 p.m. May 3 and 7 a.m. May 4.
  • Destruction of Property: A front windshield, a driver’s side window, a rear window and the rear windshield of a vehicle were reported damaged on the 44100 block of Bristow Circle between 11 p.m. May 4 and 1:30 a.m. May 5. It also appeared air was released from two of the vehicles tires.  A second vehicle’s driver’s side window and rear driver’s side window were damaged.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle was spray painted on the 20500 block of Broadnax Place between 9 p.m. May 9 and 9:15 p.m. May 10.
  • Larceny: Money and jewelry were reported taken from a residence on the 20400 block of Stonehill Court between Jan. 5 and May 10. There were no signs of forced entry.

Dulles South Station

  • Larceny: A bathroom vanity was reported taken from a home under construction on the 25100 block of Riding Center Drive between 5 p.m. May 3 and 8 a.m. May 4.
  • Vehicle Tampering: A resident observed their vehicle door was ajar and had been rummaged through on the 43500 block of Laidlaw Street between noon May 3 and 11 a.m. May 4. The vehicle was left unlocked.  Nothing was reported missing.
  • Vehicle Tampering: Unknown subjects entered an unlocked vehicle and rummaged through the interior on the 43600 block of Scarlet Square between 7 p.m. May 3 and 11 a.m. May 4. Nothing was reported missing.
  • Destruction of Property: The driver’s side lock of a vehicle car door was reported damaged on the 26100 block of Lands End Drive between 7:30 p.m. May 3 and 4:30 a.m. May 4. The interior of the vehicle had been rummaged through. Nothing was reported missing.
  • Larceny: A GPS and license were reported taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 25900 block of Sarazen Drive between 10 p.m. May 6 and 4 p.m. May 7.
  • Burglary: A camera was reported taken from an unlocked residence on the 21800 block of Inglewood Court between 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. May 6.
  • Larceny: Twenty-five concrete forms, valued at $9,500, were reported taken in the area of Winter Haven Drive and Northstar Boulevard at 11 a.m. May 7.
  • Larceny: A cell phone was reported taken from a model home on the 25100 block of Great Barkhamstead Drive at 2 p.m. May 7.
  • Larceny: An iPod was reported taken from a vehicle on the 22800 block of Cartier Terrace at 8:30 a.m. May 8.
  • Larceny: A GPS and a garage door opener were reported taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 25800 block of Sarazen Drive between 8 p.m. May 7 and 8 a.m. May 8.
  • Larceny: A GPS unit and an EZpass tag were reported taken from a vehicle on the 42500 block of Shallowtail Way between 3:30 p.m. May 7 and 9 a.m. May 8.
  • Larceny: Concrete forms were reported taken from a construction site on the 42200 block of Winterhaven Drive between 5 p.m. May 7 and 8:30 a.m. May 9.
  • Larceny: Copper coil was reported taken from a construction site on the 23300 block of Evening Primrose at 5:18 p.m. May 7.
  • Suspicious Person: A resident returned home and observed an unknown subject standing in his yard on the 42700 block of Mirror Pond Place. The subject was described as a Hispanic male, 5’4” to 5’8” tall, with an average build. The subject left the scene. There were no signs of forced entry.
