Ashburn, Eastern Loudoun Crime Update

The weekly roundup of illegal activity reported by the Sheriff's Office.

Eastern Loudoun Station

Larceny: Alcohol was reported taken from an open garage on the 20500 block of Straham Way between 10 p.m. Feb. 22 and 7:15 a.m. Feb. 23.

Burglary: An unknown subject entered a business after hours on the 45700 block of Elmwood Court at 9:13 p.m. No objects were reported taken.

Robbery/Assault: Two unknown subjects were in the same vehicle as the complainant on the 1400 block of Beech Road between 1:15 a.m. and 1:28 a.m. Feb. 24. One of the subjects hit the complainant in the head with a beer bottle and took $700 from him.

Larceny: A knife was removed from an unlocked vehicle on the 20400 block of Tappahannock Place between 11:30 p.m. Feb. 23 and 6:30 a.m. Feb. 24.

Larceny: A Bluetooth device was taken from a vehicle on the 100 block of Scott Drive between 10 a.m. Feb. 19 and 1:26 p.m. Feb 21. A window was damaged on the vehicle.

Larceny: An iPod and skateboard were reported taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 20600 block of Parkside Circle between 4 p.m. Feb. 25 and 8 a.m. Feb. 26.

Destruction of Property: A mailbox post was reported damaged on the 20400 block of River Bank Street between 4 p.m. Feb. 25 and 8 a.m. Feb. 26.

Destruction of Property: A vehicle’s window was reported damaged on the 47400 block of Middle Bluff Place at 4 p.m. Feb. 25.

Auto Theft: A 1996 unlocked Honda was reported taken from the 22300 block of Sterling Boulevard between 11 p.m. Feb. 25 and 7 p.m. Feb. 26.

Destruction of Property: A vehicle’s window was reported damaged on the 20600 block of Emerald Point Terrace between 9 p.m. Feb. 26 and 2 p.m. Feb. 27.

Burglary: Jewelry and various other items were reported taken from the 400 block of Hummer Court between 3 p.m. Feb. 24 and 3 p.m. Feb. 27.

Destruction of Property: A window was reported damaged on the 10 block of Pigeon Hill Drive between 3 a.m. and 3:27 a.m. Feb 26.

 

Central Loudoun Station

Destruction of Property: A vehicle’s paint was reported damaged on the 43100 block of Kingsport Drive between 9 p.m. Feb. 21 and 3 p.m. Feb. 23.

Larceny: A hubcap was reported taken from a vehicle on the 43600 block of Dunhill Cup Square at 4:09 p.m. Feb. 26.

 

Dulles South Station

Destruction of Property: A building was damaged with graffiti on the corner of Lenah Road and Lenah Run Circle between 5 p.m. Feb. 20 and 8 a.m. Feb. 21.

Destruction of Property: A parked vehicle was scratched on the corner of Glasgow Drive and Rachel Hill Drive between 2:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. Feb. 23. 

Larceny: A deputy on patrol observed a male in a construction site on the 25500 block of Taylor Crescent Drive at 10:08 p.m. Feb. 25.  The suspect was identified as Eduardo Martinez Alvarez, 24 years old.  Alvarez was found to have copper wires in his possession.  Alvarez was arrested and charged with grand larceny and possession of burglarious tools. 

Destruction of Property: A vehicle’s window was damaged on the 42400 block of Greenside Drive between 2 p.m. Feb. 25 and 12:21 p.m. Feb. 26.

Destruction of Property: A vehicle’s window was damaged on the 22300 block of Lost Branch Circle between 10:30 p.m. Feb. 25 and 12:57 p.m. Feb. 26.

Stabbing:  Nicasio Garcia-Reyes, 32, told investigators that he woke up feeling ill in his home on the 42300 block of John Mosby Hwy at about 8 a.m. Feb. 27. He soon discovered that he had several stab wounds in his chest and abdomen.  Garcia-Reyes called a friend who took him to an urgent care center shortly after noon. From there, he was transported by ambulance to Inova Fairfax Hospital, arriving at 12:38 p.m.  Investigators interviewed him there. Garcia-Reyes, a Guatemalan national, spoke through an interpreter and told investigators that there had been a gathering of friends at his home and they were all drinking tequila. The victim said he did not remember being stabbed and had no idea who would have stabbed him.  He is not even sure who or how many people were at the gathering, he told investigators. The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Inv. M. McCaffrey at 703-777-0475.

Robbery: Three victims were walking on a trail on the 25400 block of Riding Center Drive around Freedom High School between 9:40 p.m. Feb. 26 and 4:12 p.m. Feb. 27 when they were approached by two men, who showed a knife and asked them for money. After taking an amount of cash, the two suspects fled and were seen getting into a white SUV. The vehicle was stopped shortly afterward and the suspects were apprehended. The victims were able to identify one of the suspects as a fellow student, Daquante Harrison Timbers, 18, of Sterling. A knife matching the victim’s description was located in the vehicle. In addition to Timbers, deputies arrested Daylin Drashawn Aylor, 18, of Chantilly. Each was charged with two counts of robbery. Another suspect, a juvenile who was driving the vehicle, was released to a parent. Deputies will consult with the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office about any additional charges. Timbers and Aylor were arraigned Feb. 28 and continue to be held without bond at the Loudoun Adult Detention Center.
