Ashburn Suspect Arrested in Attempted Sexual Assault
Suspect fled after a passerby interrupted the assault, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
An Ashburn man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly approached and attempted to sexually assault a woman taking trash to a dumpster at a Dodge Terrace apartment complex, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
The incident was reported Saturday, June 14, at 9:20 p.m. on the corner of Thatcher Terrace and Dodge Terrace in Ashburn.
The suspect, Tchalim K. Lidawo, 22, was identified and apprehended Saturday morning following a ground and aerial search. He was located inside an apartment within the Dodge Terrace complex.
The female victim was taking trash to a dumpster when Lidawo allegedly approached her and attempted to forcefully sexual assault her, according to the Sheriff's Office. Lidawo reportedly fled after a passerby interrupted the assault.
Lidawo was taken into custody without incident and is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
