Crime Report: Another Chain of Destruction of Property Cases Hits Eastern Loudoun Station

Check out this week's update from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office South Station.

A Park View High School student reported that two men asked to get into their van last week near the corner of North Fillmore Avenue and Fletcher Avenue as she walked to school.

The two men, described as Hispanic and in their mid-20s, were in a green Dodge van when they approached the student around 8:30 a.m. June 8. The men asked her if she wanted a ride, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. They then asked her to get into the vehicle, but the teenager continued to walk. When two more students approached, the van left the area. The teenager reported the incident to school personnel.

Deputies patrolled the area, but did not find the suspects. The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s School Resource Officer Unit.

Other incidents reported from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Eastern Station:

  • Destruction of Property: The top of a convertible was reported damaged on the 46800 block of Trailwood Place between 7 p.m. June 5 and 6:30 a.m. June 6.
  • Larceny: A book was reported taken from a vehicle on the 200 block of Chelmsford Court between 8 p.m. June 5 and 7 a.m. June 6. A second vehicle was entered but nothing was removed.
  • Larceny: Copper wiring was reported taken from construction site on the 22600 block of Davis Drive between 4:45 p.m. June 3 and 6:30 a.m. June 6.
  • Destruction of Property: A chemical substance, possibly fire retardant, was sprayed on a trailer on the 47000 block of Harry Byrd Highway between 6 p.m. June 5 and 7 a.m. June 6.
  • Auto Theft: A green 2009 Kawasaki Ninja was reported taken from the 40 block of Essex Square between 3 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. June 6. The motorcycle was later recovered in the area of East Poplar Drive.
  • Destruction of Property: The windshield of a vehicle was reported spray-painted on the 20600 block of Morningside Terrace between 12:01 a.m. and 3 a.m. June 6.
  • Larceny: A GPS and sunglasses were reported taken from a vehicle on the 10 block of Westgate Court between 6 p.m. June 5 and 6 a.m. June 6. A second unlocked vehicle was also entered and a GPS was removed.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle was reported spray-painted on the 200 block of Pine Oak Court at midnight June 6. Another vehicle on the 100 block of Applegate Court was also discovered to by spray-painted. These cases are possibly related to a series of destruction of property cases that occurred in May for which an .
  • Destruction of Property: Three vehicles were reported spray-painted on the 700 block of Eastern Staunton Avenue between 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. June 6. These cases are possibly related to a series of destruction of property cases that occurred in May for which an arrest has since been made.
  • Destruction of Property: Two vehicles were reported spray-painted on the 1900 block of East Beech Road between 9 p.m. These cases are possibly related to a series of destruction of property cases that occurred in May for which an arrest has since been made.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle was reported spray-painted on the 1800 block of Lisa Gaye Drive between 11 p.m. June 6 and 7 a.m. June 7. This case is possibly related to a series of destruction of property cases that occurred in May for which an arrest has since been made.
  • Destruction of Property: Two vehicles were reported spray-painted on the 100 block of South Cameron Street between 11 p.m. June 6 and 6:45 a.m. June 7. These cases are possibly related to a series of destruction of property cases that occurred in May for which an arrest has since been made.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle was reported spray-painted on the 120 block of North Kennedy Road between 8 p.m. June 6 and 7 a.m. June 7. This case is possibly related to a series of destruction of property cases that occurred in May for which an arrest has since been made.
  • Destruction of Property: The side mirror of a vehicle was reported damaged on the 50 block of Whitingham Circle between 11 p.m. and 7:45 a.m. June 6.
  • Larceny: A purse was reported taken from a vehicle on the 47000 block of Harry Byrd Highway at 3 p.m. June 7.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle was reported spray-painted on the 200 block of Williamsburg Road between 10 p.m. June 6 and midnight June 7. This case is possibly related to a series of destruction of property cases that occurred in May for which an arrest has since been made.
  • Larceny: An air conditioning unit was reported taken from a residence on the 120 block of Andrew Place between 5 p.m. June 6 and 8 p.m. June. 8.
  • Suspicious Event: A Park View High School student walking to school reported being approached by a green Dodge Van with no rear windows and Virginia tags on the corner of North Fillmore Avenue and Fletcher Road at 8:30 a.m. June 8. Two males occupied the van. According to the teenager, the two men asked her if she wanted a ride. They later asked her to get into the vehicle. The teenager continued to walk and as two more students approached, the van left the area. The teenager continued her walk to school and reported the incident to school personnel. The two occupants of the vehicle were described as Hispanic males in their mid 20’s. Directed patrol was assigned to the area. The incident is under investigation by the Sheriff’s School Resource Officer Unit.
  • Burglary: A white male teenager was observed entering an open garage and removing a wallet from an unlocked vehicle on the 50 block of Rutherford Court at 8:36 a.m. June 11. The subject was described as 5-feet-10-inches tall with brown/blonde hair. The resident walked into the garage when they observed the subject. The subject then fled the area. A perimeter was established but no subject matching this description was located.
  • Burglary: Unknown subjects entered a residence on the 10820 block of Monticello Drive between 7 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. June 12. A window was damaged to gain entry.
  • Auto Theft: On June 11, 2011 a resident reported their 2005 Hummer was stolen sometime between 8 p.m. May 21 and 9 a.m. May 25. The victim was out of town when the theft occurred.
  • Larceny: A GPS was reported taken from a vehicle on the 10 block of Douglas Court between midnight June 10 and 11:59 p.m. June 11.
