Crime Report: Child Suffers Minor Injuries from Window Fall

Larceny, destruction of property dominate this week's update from the Eastern Loudoun Sheriff's Station.

On Monday morning, June 27, a 2-year-old boy fell from a window on Trumpet Circle. The child appeared to only have minor injuries after the fall at around 8:20 a.m., but was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital as a precaution.

Other incidents reported from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Eastern Station:

  • Destruction of Property: The rear tire of a vehicle was reported damaged on the 21100 block of Dulles Town Center between 3 pm. June 19 and 11 a.m. June 20. The car had been left overnight in a parking lot.
  • Destruction of Property: A rear driver’s side window of a vehicle was reported damaged on the 23500 block of Overland Drive between 8 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. June 20.
  • Destruction of Property: The hood of a vehicle was reported damaged on the 47600 block of Corner Square between 7 p.m. June 17 and 8 a.m. June 20.
  • Suspicious Event: An unlocked vehicle was rummaged through on the 46900 block of Rabbit Run Terrace between 1 a.m. and 10 a.m. June 19.
  • Larceny: A wallet was reported taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 46900 block of Cedar Lake Plaza between 7 a.m. and 3:46 p.m. June 21.
  • Larceny: A GPS was reported taken from a vehicle on the 46500 block of River Meadows Terrace at 6:24 p.m. June 21.
  • Larceny: A red electric Razor MX500 mini-bike was reported taken from an open garage on the 20900 block of Sonoma Way between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. June 21. A possible juvenile suspect was identified.
  • Larceny: A firearm was reported missing on the 300 block of East Charlotte Street at 4:44 p.m. June 22.
  • Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle: A 23-year-old male reported that an unknown male asked if he could ride his moped on the 22200 block of South Sterling Boulevard at 2 a.m. June 23. The victim agreed and the unknown subject rode away and did not return. The moped is described as red and silver in color.
  • Burglary: A resident returned home to their apartment on the 20800 block of Wallingford Square between 12:15 p.m. and 1:50 p.m. June 23 to find their front door ajar. Jewelry and an MP3 player were reported taken.
  • Larceny: Two DVD players were reported taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 20500 block of Banbury Square between 7 p.m. June 22 and 8 a.m. June 23.
  • Larceny: A bicycle was removed from an open garage on the 21200 block Dubois Court at 1:12 p.m. June 22. The homeowner opened the interior garage door and observed an unknown Hispanic male flee from the scene on the bicycle. The subject was wearing a white T-shirt, dark pants and a baseball hat.
  • Larceny: A wallet was reported taken from a locker on the 46100 block of Loudoun Park Lane between 3 p.m. and 3:20 p.m. June 25.
  • Destruction of Property: A fireworks stand was reported damaged in an attempt to gain entry on the 21000 block of Southbank Street at 10:15 p.m. June 25.
  • Gunfire: A resident heard what they believed to be gunfire or fireworks on the corner of Avondale Drive and Hillsdale Drive between 6:20 p.m. and 6:25 p.m. June 26. Evidence was found that a firearm was discharged in the area.
