Crime Report: Teen Charged after Attempting to Assault Deputy

Teen Charged with Assault on Deputy
Loudoun County Sheriff’s deputies charged a 17-year-old from Sterling with underage possession of alcohol and assault on a law enforcement officer after the teenager attempted to strike a deputy. The incident began when deputies responded to the 45300 block of Catalina Court at 3:42 a.m. for a report of a fight. A juvenile detained at the scene became disorderly after deputies contacted his family and they arrived on the scene. A member of the family who became involved in the struggle was detained and charged with obstruction of justice. The teenager was taken to the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.

Naked Man Seen Walking W&OD Trail
A man walking along the W&OD Trail reported seeing another unclothed man on the trail near Ashburn Road at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16. The naked man ran from the area without making any contact with the walker. The unclothed subject was described as a 6-foot-tall Caucasian in his mid-20s to mid-40s, with a slender build.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office identified the driver of a vehicle struck by an alleged drunk driver in a Nov. 15 accident as a 47-year-old Ashburn woman. Patch previously reported on the accident and charges against the 18-year-old Leesburg man who crashed into the victim.

Suspicious Person Detained
Deputies responded to the area of Lois Lane and Vickery Park Drive at 6:00 p.m. Nov. 22 for a report of a person running around, and who attempted to get into a vehicle. An adult male was found hiding near a home in the area and taken into custody on an emergency protective order. He was held for a mental evaluation.
