Crime Report: Man Apprehended for Entering Vehicles

Incidents from the past week as reported by the Loudoun Sheriff's Eastern Station.

Loudoun Sheriff’s Deputies apprehended a man after receiving reports of a suspicious person looking inside and entering vehicles on the 22000 block of Manning Square between midnight and 3:49 a.m. July 10. After searching the area, deputies located a male who attempted to flee on foot. The suspect, identified as Sterling resident Tyler D. Hoskinson, 23, who was taken into custody and was charged with grand larceny and petit larceny. He was released on a $2,500 bond.

Other incidents reported from the Loudoun Sheriff's Eastern Station:

  • Larceny: An air compressor was reported taken from a vehicle on the 120 block of N. Johnson Road between 9 p.m. July 4 and 6:15 a.m. July 5.
  • Burglary: Cash and a cell phone were reported taken from a doctor’s office on the 21100 block of Whitfield Place between 4:10 p.m. June 30 and 6:30 a.m. July 5. Food was also taken from the refrigerator.
  • Larceny: A victim reported he met with a subject who agreed to purchase their smart phone after it was advertised on the Internet on the 1000 block of Temple Court at midnight July 6. The two met and the subject asked to see the phone and then ran away with it. The subject is described as a Black male, early to mid twenties, 5-foot-10 and weighing 180 pounds.
  • Larceny: A digital camera was reported taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 20900 block of Sandian Terrace between 8 p.m. July 3 and 10 a.m. July 4. The theft was not reported until July 6.
  • Auto Theft: A 1999 Honda Civic was reported taken on the 400 block of Enterprise Street between 10:52 p.m. and 11:02 p.m. after a pizza delivery person left the keys inside.
  • Larceny: A messenger bag was reported taken from a vehicle on the 600 block of West Maple Avenue between 9 p.m. July 7 and 7 a.m. July 8.
  • Larceny: A laptop was reported taken from a vehicle on Thomas Jefferson Drive between 5:30 p.m. July 8 and 11 a.m. July 9. There were no signs of forced entry.
  • Destruction of Property: The tires to four vehicles were reported damaged on the 200 block of West Beech Road between midnight and 6 a.m. July 9.
  • Destruction of Property: Possible gang-related spray painting was located on the rear exterior of a building on the 46000 block of Briarcroft Plaza between 12:01 a.m. and 7:41 p.m. July 10.
  • Larceny: Solar powered lights were reported taken from the front yard of a residence on the 1100 block of South Sterling Boulevard between 7:30 p.m. July 9 and 10 p.m. July 10.
  • Larceny: A tablet was reported taken from a residence on the 20900 block of Reserve Falls Terrace between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. July 9.
