Crime Report: Stranger Reported in Home Near Ashburn Park

Check out this week's update from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office University Station.

A resident along the 43600 block of Preddy Court, near Ashburn Park, reported that a stranger entered their home shortly before 11 p.m. June 16. The resident heard a noise and, upon investigation, spotted an unknown male standing in the foyer. The suspect – described as a white male, 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighing 135 pounds – fled back through the front door. He was wearing a black hat, a gray or white hoodie, blue jeans and a light colored pair of sneakers. There were no signs of forced entry.

Other incidents reported from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office University Station:

  • Destruction of Property: Seven vehicles were damaged in the area of Shady Glen Terrace and Cool Fern Square between 7:30 p.m. June 14 and 7 a.m. June 15. The incidents are believed to be related.
  • Larceny: A resident heard their garage door open on the 43600 block of Millay Court between 2:30 a.m. and 2:35 a.m. June 15. After going to investigate, they discovered the door was open. They discovered in the morning that items were taken from two unlocked vehicles parked in the driveway and an unlocked vehicle in the garage.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle was reported damaged in a parking lot on the 20400 block of Ashburn Village Boulevard between 4 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. June 15.
  • Larceny: Treated lumber was reported taken from a construction site in the area of Romans Drive and Ashburn Village Boulevard between 7 p.m. June 14 and 8:30 a.m. June 15.
  • Larceny: Piping was reported taken from a construction site on Russell Branch Parkway at 7 a.m. June 14.
  • Larceny: A GPS was reported taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 43600 block of Catton Place between 8 p.m. June 14 and 11 a.m. June 15.
  • Larceny: Three packages were reported taken from a residence on the 43800 block of Glenhazel Drive between 11 a.m. and midnight June 9. The packages were delivered between June 6 and June 11.
  • Larceny: A package was reported taken from a residence on the 44100 block of Mossy Brook Square between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. June 8. The package was delivered on June 6 and the incident was reported on June 16.
  • Unlawful Entry: John Fry, 52, of no fixed address was charged with unlawful entry, littering and disorderly conduct after deputies responded to the 20600 block of Ashburn Road between 9 a.m. and 12:35 p.m. June 16 for a report of a suspicious person.
  • Destruction of Property: The seal of a driver’s side door of a vehicle was reported damaged on the 21200 block of Hedgerow Terrace between 1:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. June 16 in a possible attempt to gain entry.
  • Larceny: Golf clubs were reported taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 20500 block of Flattop Court between 4:30 p.m. June 16 and 6:15 a.m. June 17.
  • Larceny: A satellite receiver was reported taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 42800 block of Champney Court between 5 p.m. June 18 and 9:30 a.m. June 19.
  • Larceny: Change was removed from a vehicle in an open garage on the 19100 block of Dalton Points Place between 8 p.m. June 17 and 6:30 p.m. June 18.
  • Larceny: A bicycle was reported taken from an open garage on the 44200 block of Suscon Square between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. June 19.
  • Larceny: An MP3 player and softball equipment were reported taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 20600 block of Hillary Way between 8 p.m. June 16 and 7:30 a.m. June 17. The incident was reported on June 20.
  • Larceny: Cast aluminum material was reported taken from a construction site on the 21600 block of Beaumeade Circle between midnight June 17 and 5 a.m. June 20.
  • Larceny: A purse was reported taken from a vehicle on the 20100 block of Desert Forest Drive between 11 p.m. June 19 and 8 a.m. June 20.
  • Larceny: A purse was reported taken from a vehicle on the 43800 block of Arborvitae Drive between 11 p.m. June 20 and 6 a.m. June 21.
  • Suspicious Person: A resident was running in the area when they observed a subject standing in the wood line in the area of Susan Leslie Drive and Claiborne Parkway at 4:45 a.m. June 21. The subject was described as a White male, 6-feet-4-inches tall, 240 pounds and wearing a long-sleeved blue denim shirt and blue jeans.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle was reported scratched on the 19500 block of Hampshire Crossing Square between 6 p.m. June 19 and 3 p.m. June 21.
  • Larceny: A backtrail X2 BMX bike was reported taken from the Ashburn Sports Pavilion on the 20500 block of Ashburn Village Boulevard at 3:45 p.m. June 21.
