Crime Report: Suspicious Events, Vehicles Entered

The latest incidents in the Ashburn area reported to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Suspicious events

  • A resident of the 44400 block of Whitford Square in Ashburn reported seeing a stranger outside a window of their home just before 10:30 p.m. Jan. 6. A search was conducted, but no one was found. 
  • A resident of the 21700 block of Omeara Terrace in Ashburn reported that someone entered their home, possibly through an unsecured garage door, and rummaged through the interior at 12:20 p.m. Jan. 7. Nothing was reported missing.
  • A resident noticed damage to the exterior of his or her home on the 19800 block of Bethpage Court around 6 p.m. Jan. 4. The damage appeared to have been made during an attempt to gain entry.

Prescription drugs missing
Prescription medications were reported taken from a home Jan. 7 on the 44000 block of Ferncliff Terrace in Ashburn.

Several vehicles entered, several items taken

  • An mp3 player was reported taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 21400 block of Glebe View Drive in Ashburn between midnight and 7 a.m. Jan. 11.
  • The contents of a purse were reported taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 42700 block of Summerhouse Place in Ashburn between midnight an 7 a.m. Jan. 11.
  • Change was reported taken from two vehicles on the 21400 block of Glebe View Drive in Ashburn between 6 p.m. Jan. 10 and 8 a.m. Jan. 11.
  • Two residents reported that their unlocked vehicles had been entered on the 42400 block of Holly Knoll Court in Ashburn between 5 p.m. Jan. 10 and 6:20 a.m. Jan. 11. An mp3 player was reported taken from one of the vehicles. 
  • Two residents reported that their vehicles appeared to have been rummaged through on the 42400 block of Belmont Glen Place in Ashburn between 7 p.m. Jan. 10 and 7 a.m. Jan. 11. Nothing was reported missing.
  • Damage was reported to the passenger side window of a vehicle parked on the 21500 block of Sheffield Court in Ashburn between 11 p.m. Jan. 11 and 7:45 a.m. Jan. 12.
