Darwin Bowman Sentenced to Over 40 Years in Loudoun County Murder, Beating

A Loudoun County man was sentenced to more then 43 years in prison in a 2009 assault that left one man dead and his wife severely injured, the Washington Post reports

Darwin G. Bowman, 22, of Sterling, was sentenced Friday by a Loudoun County Circuit Court judge, the newspaper reported. William Bennett his wife, Cynthia Bennett, were attacked in 2009 in the Lansdowne neighborhood while taking a walk.

Bowman pleaded guilty to the crime along with Jaime Ayala, 21, who was sentenced in 2011 to life plus 40 years in prison, the Post reported. The third man believed to be involved in the attack, Anthony R. Roberts, has not yet been charged in the attack.
